Servant of the Lake has a free demo on PC and mobile. This is the decision page: what's inside, and how the demo stacks up against the full game.
How to Get the Demo
It's free on Steam (app 3996940, "Servant of the Lake Demo") and as the Lite app on Android and iOS. For download links and a step-by-step playthrough of the puzzles inside, see the Demo page.
What's in the Demo
The demo is a self-contained slice of the opening of Day 1 — enough to learn the point-and-click feel without spoiling the mystery:
- Arrive by carriage and sign the contract with the crow-feather pen.
- The breakfast porridge puzzle (sugar box code 243).
- The start of waking Aldous (set the clock, shave, dress).
It ends before the alchemical basement, so no ending or late-game puzzle is revealed.
